Who we are
Your neighbors, organized
Protect Rural Escondido is a growing grassroots effort to preserve the rural character, open space, wildlife, and quality of life that define unincorporated Escondido. While our work began in response to local threats in one area, neighbors from other rural communities have since reached out with similar concerns.
We are your neighbors, working together to build a stronger, united voice to protect community character, promote thoughtful planning, and ensure rural residents across unincorporated Escondido are seen, heard, and represented.
What We Stand For
We are not opposed to growth. We are opposed to growth that ignores the land, the water, and the people already here.
Rural Character
Open space, agricultural land, and dark skies are not leftovers. They are the reason this community exists.
Thoughtful Planning
Infrastructure, water, and emergency access should be settled before density is approved, not after.
A Represented Voice
Unincorporated residents are easy to overlook. Organized, we are considerably harder to overlook.
